Middletown Public Schools is delighted to announce that its very own Blue Dragons Robotics Team 9909 has been honored with an Official Citation by the State of Connecticut General Assembly. The prestigious citation was presented to Team 9909 by Representative Brandon Chafee and a representative from Senator Matt Lesser's office during an intimate gathering held on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Middletown High School.
The General Assembly Official Citation, introduced by Senator Matthew C. Lesser, Senator Jan Hochadel, Representative Kai J. Belton, and Representative Brandon Chafee, recognizes the remarkable accomplishments of the Blue Dragon Robotics Team 9909. The citation reads:
"Be it hereby known to all that The Connecticut General Assembly offers its sincerest congratulations to Middletown High School's Blue Dragon Robotics Team 9909.
In recognition of the team's tremendous achievements in the field of robotics, including an outstanding performance at the VEX Robotics World Championship. The Blue Dragons have demonstrated exceptional skills in designing and programming. Their teamwork, innovation and creativity have set them apart from the competition. We commend the Blue Dragons for their hard work and commitment to curiosity, as well as for encouraging future generations of STEM students and robotics enthusiasts.
