Bielefield Elementary

Middletown Public Schools proudly announces that 16 graduating student-athletes have signed to play their respective sports at the collegiate level. In an intimate ceremony held at Middletown High School on May 30, 2024, these exceptional individuals were honored for their dedication, talent, and commitment to both academics and athletics.

The ceremony celebrated the achievements of these outstanding students who have balanced rigorous academic schedules with demanding athletic commitments. The event highlighted the diverse sports in which these students will continue to excel, including basketball, soccer, track and field, baseball, and dance, among others.

Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Alberto Vázquez Matos, expressed his admiration for the student-athletes, stating, “We are proud of our student-athletes who have demonstrated remarkable tenacity. Their ability to excel in both academics and athletics speaks to their remarkable character and work ethic. We wish them all the best as they embark on this exciting new chapter in their lives.”

Athletic Director, Elisha De Jesús, also shared her excitement, saying, “Today is a testament to the hard work, perseverance, and passion of our student-athletes. It has been an honor to watch them grow and develop over the years. I have no doubt that they will continue to achieve great things at the collegiate level and beyond. Congratulations to each of them and their families.”

These student-athletes have not only brought pride to Middletown High School but also set a standard of excellence for the future. The entire Middletown community congratulates them and looks forward to following their collegiate careers.
